Science on Tap is a science lecture series where you can sit back, enjoy a pint, and laugh while you learn. Listen to experts talk about the science in your neighborhood and around the world. You don’t have to be a science geek to have fun—all you need is a thirst for knowledge!

This event originally scheduled for April 21 has been moved to Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

Can slugs, suckers and Siuslaw hairy-necked tiger beetles compete with American Idol and Kitchen Nightmares? Turns out, yes! Oregon Field Guide has been OPB’s weekly TV news magazine for 30 years, exploring the ecological issues, natural wonders and outdoor recreation of the Northwest. At this Science on Tap, Oregon Field Guide Executive Producer Ed Jahn reveals the secret sauce his team has used to turn science-rich stories of lichens, slugs and glacier caves into the stars of television prime time.
